Can't speak for other makes, years and models but I bought it for my 2021 KIA K5 and I have to say I'm very impressed. Some of the reviews were a bit intimidating to be honest, but I decided to give it a try because of Revain's excellent return policy. Setup couldn't be easier. I plugged it into a USB port in the car and it was instantly recognized and connected to my iPhone right away. From there it played Apple CarPlay flawlessly. When I get in and start the car, Apple CarPlay starts with a slight delay, but I don't think it was more than 10 seconds, but then when I removed the 'regular' KIA Bluetooth device from my phone and I've only used the CarlinKit connection, the lag was even lower. I've only had it for a few days now, but so far it's amazing. It really exceeded my expectations and I love the wireless Apple CarPlay. If I had to say something negative, I would say that it's a little pricey, but if it continues to work as well as before, it's really worth it. Highly recommended!
