They offer longer battery life (1700 mAh) compared to 600 mAh for the device battery it replaces The instructions are written at a tiny microfilm level , but they are enough to use them. They specifically list charge times for 2@ (either AA or AAA) for the low end (800mah) charge time of 6 hours to a high capacity 2650mAh charge time of 9 hours. This is optimistic and you should expect to charge batteries of any capacity overnight. Other than that, it does what it says on the tin, costs about $10 and works, although I accidentally dropped it in a sink full of water - shake out the water, let it dry and it still works as intended. It also flashes red if you have inserted a defective battery or the wrong type of battery (e.g. alkaline). All in all a good buy, for those of you who are frustrated at not being able to charge one battery while using another, waste your money and buy another battery pack. They're going to use them in SOMETHING. Finally arrived early, well packaged, great value and with excellent features.
