I've watched a few YouTube videos that explain how to install without removing the bumper. I did it that way. The grid pops up as shown in the video. Some screws can be tricky, especially if you have big hands like mine. A pair of Mechanis Gloves is highly recommended. Start with the middle grid and then work on both sides. I like the protrusions on the interchangeable earbuds. They attach the flanges to the frames of the gratings. A plastic wedge, e.g. B. from the fairing kit required. If not, I suspect you're breaking a few flanges. Apply pressure to the flange while simultaneously applying pressure to the wedge. Start with the top flange and then continue with the bottom flange on the same side. Once that side is loosened, the other side is easy to loosen. Be patient with this part of the project. Take your time not to break the flanges. The new inserts have a tab to put pressure on the flanges to hold them in place and the insert was tight to the frame. That's good design.
