Overall, this is a pretty nice close range office fan. Flat black with silver buttons, nothing fancy, but not particularly cheap looking either, it's perfect for any office or small living space.Size: About the height of a normal lamp, its air output and quietness puts my tiny, noisy novelty Vornado Flippi desk fan to shame, and its actual table footprint is about the same size as any desk fan you can get. I keep mine on a little file cabinet next to my home office desk in an attempt to keep my AC bill down when I work from home in the summer, and it also helps push air around my little apartment living room (where my office is situated) when I'm on the couch a few feet away. I probably wouldn't recommend it for a big room, and it's no replacement for a floor or ceiling fan, but it's perfect for apartments and offices with a table or shelf to spare.Noise: Though certainly not silent, the fan whir is low, soothing and non-invasive, and as of yet there's no mechanical grinding or clicking as it rotates. It puts out an appropriate amount of air at any speed and doesn't obstruct the TV or computer music volume, and that's all I can ask for from a fan at this price point.My only complaint is that it has a very narrow, directed stream of air, and when it's warm in the room, the turn radius can seem a bit over-extended and slow, so you're just waiting.waiting.waiting.for it to finally get back around. That being said, when you turn the rotating off, the low speed is nice and quiet and keeps me cool enough, and I really can't complain.All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
