I recently bought this hand blender mainly for the price and performance. I needed to make pumpkin and nut soup and didn't want to transfer the hot soup from the slow cooker to the food processor. I used to avoid making soups that needed mixing. Now I regret not buying them this year! It worked beautifully, better than I expected. It also included a coupon for a free meat grinder as a gift with purchase. I sent a letter to the company and this gift was sent quickly. This is a blade attachment similar to my food processor, the attachment has a container, the blade is removable for easy cleaning and fits into a container with a lid that a hand blender attaches to. I haven't tried it with meat yet. I decided to try it as a food processor making pea soup though, again in my slow cooker, I peeled and cut the onion into manageable chunks like I do with a food processor and placed them in a container, added the peeled garlic added and attached hand blender. He worked great! Finely chop the garlic and onion with little effort while the bait jar is small it was big enough for medium to large onions and if anything worked better than my food processor because I didn't have to sweep the chunks off the sides to find larger chunks to get back on the blade like I do with a large food processor. The detachable blade made cleanup a breeze, and I rinsed the container out with some water after adding most of the chopped veggies to the pot. In the future I plan to use it and ditch the larger food processor in favor of this blender. I am very satisfied with this product and I highly recommend it. The 500w blender has plenty of power, the design makes it easy to use and change attachments so I used it for my omelettes alongside what I mentioned.
