Use it for live streaming and video recording. The quality is good, just remember to set the camera to 1080p 60 or it won't output to your computer. Once it's done, it literally plugs in and runs with no performance issues. The only thing I complain about is that the box heats up during long broadcasts. The USB cable only connects to the Mac while streaming, so it's an issue, but not a big deal. I wouldn't recommend leaving it permanently plugged into your computer. As an update I have purchased 4 of these devices for live streaming and broadcasting live events to tape using Livestream Studio 6 software and OBS. 100% reliable so far. I am willing to say that they are equal to Magwell at a cheaper price. So far very impressed with the quality and durability. I am changing my rating from 4 to 5.
