Review on Enhancing Tattoo Artistry with Dragoart Aurora Tattoo Dot Box Voltage! by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works without a footswitch but has no on/off switch

Pros: This power supply features a buttonless touchscreen giving it a sleek, modern and professional look that would look great in any tattoo parlor. The power pack also has a non-slip base with magnets so it can stick to metal surfaces. I took a photo of the device attached to my fridge door to show you how strong the magnet is. He has a nice hefty weight of about 0.64 pounds. giving it a solid and professional look. The power supply also has two pin sockets, so you can connect 2 separate pins. This feature is useful when you use one pen for lines and another pen for tones. In addition, you can preset 3 different voltage settings for each line to save the most commonly used voltage settings so you don't have to constantly adjust them. The voltage is adjustable in 0.1 increments for fine tuning, and you can quickly change the voltage by pressing and holding the up or down arrows on the right. The contour light also changes color as the voltage changes, which is pretty cool. This device also has a built-in turnout block function, so you don't need to buy a separate turnout block controller. This feature is useful for creating point or dot graphics. You can easily adjust the speed of the point field by clicking the up or down arrows on the left. Please watch the video to see the dot box feature in action. Finally, this device supports continuous mode at the touch of a button, so you don't even need a pedal. This is my favorite feature of all because I have direct access to power without having to fiddle with a footswitch or handswitch. Cons: This product does not come with an instruction manual, so you will need to watch the video in the item description to understand how it works. I'm fairly familiar with various power supplies so I was able to figure out most things on my own, but I can see how this can be very frustrating for many people. I recommend watching the video in the product description to learn more about the different features of this power supply. Also, there is no on/off button. The power supply does not even have a standby mode, in which it switches itself off automatically after a period of non-use. You have to turn it off to turn it off. Also, the device beeps LOUDly with every button press and you can't turn down the beep volume, which is a bit annoying. I recommend you make good use of your voltage presets, otherwise you will hear a lot of beeps. And finally, I don't know how to get the timer to work. I've followed the video tutorial on working with the timer, but I can't seem to get the timer to move 1 second. It's a shame, but the timer isn't particularly important to me, so I'm not too worried about it. Conclusion: This is a more powerful power supply that offers many useful features such as a non-slip magnetic base, spot field function, two pen lines and multiple voltage presets. But the one button continuous mode feature really impresses me. While there are a few things that prevent me from giving this product 5 stars, such as the lack of an on/off button and instruction manual, and the non-working timer, I still recommend this product to anyone looking for a more powerful power source . .
