Review on Efficient Pond Treatment: Muck Remover Pellets 25 Lb Tablets To Treat 6.25 Acres Of Lake And Farm Ponds by Sherri Lee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This stuff really works!

I have a really big pond that we use for paddle boarding, wading, and catching frogs and crawdads. It got really murky and we were using it less and less until I discovered this product. It clears up the water and dissolves the black coat of decaying stuff so that you can see to the bottom in the shallow water—prolly up to 2 feet deep. It doesn’t dissolve algae, so the green color of the pond, especially after it’s been hot for a month or two, doesn’t go away. It’s just for the black stuff. It also won’t melt inches of the silt at the bottom, but we have put sand at the edges of the pond, like a mini beach, and it clears that up really well.

Pros
  • Very easy to use. Just scoop it out and toss in. It can be easily thrown to center of pond.
Cons
  • The 25 lb tablets come with a steep price tag, which may be too expensive for small or personal pond owners
