Purchased to increase the temperature of the Dubia Roach Feeder. I have a colony, but with a winter setting indoors, its ambient temperature is too cold. This pad raises the temperature by about 15F so I'm over 80 which is good for roach breeding. I was worried it would get too hot but I used the thermostat on the highest setting and the plastic container is still not hot enough to release the gas. Ceramic tile down, then pad, then put the bag directly on the pad. The tiles protect the floor and at the same time act as a source of radiant heat.
