In general, the scanner is normal for its money. Scans documents normally, for home use or a small office will do. During the day, the noise is not very audible.
All the same, it is incorrect to compare a flatbed scanner for $ 70 and a stationary MFP for $ 2,000. For your money - quite normal.
For artists and for working with photography - read the reviews, it’s not a fact that it’s suitable. It is better to look with a CCD sensor.

Pros

Vertical arrangement, takes up little space. The presence of functional buttons.

Cons

Scanning quality after normal office MFPs is quite low. Noisy like an unlubricated cart. Scanning late in the evening or at night, without the risk of waking up children or spouse, will not work. Not expected.
