Light, Beautiful but Treat With Care

CorningWare® French Navy 3.2QT Cast Aluminum Roaster with LidI’ve had a white CorningWare® cast aluminum roaster for years. I use it in our RV since it is so lightweight. I really like it a lot. The only problem that I have had with it is that the finish scratches off so easily on the inside so you have to be extra careful to only use wooden, nylon, or silicone utensils with it. I have switched over to using navy accents in our house so when I saw that the new CorningWare® cast aluminum roaster came in a beautiful navy, I decided to order a couple different sizes. The cast aluminum is so much lighter weight than other types of cookers. It’s a great choice for those with arthritis, RVers, or anyone needing a lightweight roaster. The navy blue is a gorgeous color, so classic. The roaster cooks great and can be used in the oven or on the stovetop.I do love the CorningWare® cast aluminum pieces but you do need to treat them with care so the finish doesn’t get damaged. It is lighter than cast iron but not indestructible like old fashioned cast iron.⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵

Pros
  • It allows for healthier cooking, as less oil is needed with its non-stick surface
Cons
  • The lid may not provide a tight seal during cooking
