I'm not very handy but I was able to install the storage system without too much trouble. As previously mentioned, the holes will likely not match all cleats since the distance between the holes is not adjustable. I used a bobby pin on one side, but the screws that came with it weren't long enough to reach the bobby pin. I was able to use some of the longer screws I had on hand. I'm not sure if this was a unique situation with my house's drywall. Overall the system seems to work well and I've had no trouble slipping tools through the hook. Not sure if they work with a heavy shovel or rake. The price can't be beat for what you get.
