Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Dremel 490 Black Dust Blower by Alex Panda

Really light wind in exchange for numerous flaws

Just used it for 5 hours digging shallow channels in luxury vinyl decks. It produces almost no wind and there were still shavings everywhere. I'm sure they are heavier than the wooden ones, but still. It would be okay if they just didn't do their job well, but you also lose a lot of visibility. I've used it on a pen and it sticks out so much that the blade is barely visible. The latter is my fault, but there were some very bad scratches in a couple of spots quite a distance from where I was working. Once I figured out what was going on, I ripped the stupid thing right off my Dremel. If you lean too far down, the fan will tear up whatever you're working on. Not worth the risk or bother for the silly little wind it puts out. For best results, simply blow off the chips with your mouth. The advantage of this method is that it can't mess up everything you're working with, so sticking to the old methods is bad.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
