We have several Dog food brands have tried past with mixed or poor results. Many brands of dog food, in one combination or another, cause our dog to have diarrhea, constipation, and/or weight gain. After months of trying, we've finally found a healthy alternative for our plump mini Labradoodle. . The kibbles in Nutro Ultra Weight Management are medium sized - perfect for our 45 pound dog. Our dog seems to like the taste too. Exercise is important for dogs to maintain a healthy weight. However, we believe that the more important key to successful weight loss for our dog is disciplined calorie restriction. In this respect, dogs are very similar to humans. 1/4 scoop 4 times a day with a few low cal treats in between has proven to be an effective long-term weight loss/balancing strategy for us. Although Nutro branded dog food is more expensive than others, we think it's worth the extra cost. Choose the Nutro brand if you care about giving your dog only the best.
