UPDATE 02/26/2019: After my first review I bought many more of these PoE splitters and they all worked perfectly, even for the more power hungry Raspberry Pi 3B+. The first one I've installed has been running for 4 months now and is on a Raspberry Pi 3 B which runs 24/7 due to the type of application I'm using it for. Next week I plan to use 6 more of these. If you need to power your Pi via PoE, you need this splitter. Original review: I have several Raspberry Pis with 21.5" touch screens that employees use to create documentation for web applications. At one point I don't have an outlet nearby and the 5V power supply doesn't extend much due to the voltage drop. So I used a 12v power supply and a 5v regulator but the raspberry showed a lightning bolt icon in the top right of the screen meaning there were power issues and the touchscreen was sometimes unresponsive for a few seconds. I tried 3 different 5V regulators and the problem went away for a few days only to come back with user complaints. I believe that the regulators could not supply the required current while the voltage was stable but slightly below the 5V mark (about 4.9 volts). I was about to get an adjustable regulator and crank it up to 5.2V, but I saw this PoE splitter and decided to give it a try. We had a Netgear ProSafe GS108PE in our server room powering 2 APs and is about 100 feet away, so I plugged it into one of the 4 PoE ports on this switch. It worked flawlessly the first time and I haven't heard any complaints for 3 weeks. I asked one of the users about a week ago and he told me that it works without any problems. I will be ordering many more as it saves me the hassle of looking for outlets for my Raspberry Pi and I have 23 more to install. Great product, good price. Highly recommended.
