Description of 💡 PoE Splitter Gigabit 5V - UCTRONICS: Micro USB Power and Ethernet for Raspberry Pi 3B+, Echo Dot, Micro USB Security Cameras, Tablets - Compliant with IEEE 802.3af

5V/2.4A & 1000Mbps - Power micro-USB devices via an Ethernet cable, along with gigabit data transfer (which you can put aside if you only need power). PoE HAT Alternative - Use no GPIO pins. Compatible with Raspberry Pi case with fan or add-on screen. Support Raspberry Pi 3b+ and previous models. Extend Powerline - Deliver power to micro USB devices without nearby AC outlets and upgrade them to PoE (Power over Ethernet) from up to 400 feet. Replace Power Supply - Remove the need for a separate power supply if the Ethernet cable is a must-have for your micro USB devices. Save Your Time - Plug and play compatibility and quick seller response. NOTE: an 802.3af compliant PoE injector/switch is required to use this device (not included).

I bought a UCTRONICS PoE splitter to power a Raspberry Pi at a remote location (a location on my property where my cellular hotspot has excellent reception where the Pi has a Using Wi-Fi bridge to ethernet and a signal to my house as main internet). The priority was performance over 10/100 as I can get 150Mbps at this point. After testing my setup with a power strip, I needed a way to power the system without running another wire. Use a UCTRONICS Poe splitter. My splitter arrived and after…

The product is great and the company is great. Double win!

An excellent upgrade of the old 100 Mbit version. This was purchased for a very unique setup where I have a USB powered Pie Zero-W and a network pigtail that goes to my alarm panel. The item is working great so far and I have no complaints. I will add that Arducam (the seller I bought from) is amazing. I had an older model (100Mbps) that I've had since January that has recently stopped working. I've needed another one of these for a while, but my other's rejection prompted me to start looking…

Long time not working with raspberry pi

This worked fine for a few months but now my raspberry pi restarts every 25 minutes to 24 hours. I replaced the AC adapter with a standard AC adapter and the reboots stopped. It is clear that this does not have good power control. I have two such uctronics POE devices and the problem occurs with both (one gigabit, the other 100MB). Context: I have a Raspberry Pi that runs 24/7 and is connected to a Ubiquiti 160W switch. None of the other devices connected to the switch have power issues.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Minor issues

Bought UCTRONICS PoE splitter to power RPis for previous IoT projects, everything works exactly as expected, as does this new one. These guys make really reliable PoE splitters for RPi. I would highly recommend this to RPi 3B+ users as it requires no extra steps and supports gigabit speeds. Unlike some add-on HATs, you don't have to worry about whether it will fit your application or provide enough power. A PoE splitter like this is much easier to install and less prone to damage, which really…

Works right out of the box!

These PoE splitters work great without the Raspberry Pi 3B+ power LED blinking. The LED was on all the time! I made the mistake of buying a cheaper version from a competitor and god it was a nightmare! Such a splitter costs more than 3 versions of a competitor, but I don't look back on it now. This splitter works right away without any problems. I have no regrets buying this PoE splitter, thank you UKTRONICS!

Works very well with Raspberry Pi 3 B and B+

UPDATE 02/26/2019: After my first review I bought many more of these PoE splitters and they all worked perfectly, even for the more power hungry Raspberry Pi 3B+. The first one I've installed has been running for 4 months now and is on a Raspberry Pi 3 B which runs 24/7 due to the type of application I'm using it for. Next week I plan to use 6 more of these. If you need to power your Pi via PoE, you need this splitter. Original review: I have several Raspberry Pis with 21.5" touch screens that…

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Ideal for Pi and non-802.3af/poE

Like other reviewers, I have no complaints about this device. . I have a Ubiquiti Edgemax PoE 5 which is not really 802.3af/at compliant. Rather, it is a passive 24V or 48V DC injector. FYI, an Edgemax PoE with passive 48V supplied to this splitter will easily power the USB power output. Power supplies that have problems delivering DC voltage after months of 24/7 use.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Impressed with this unit

I have several versions of these POE adapters from different manufacturers for different voltage adapters. I had problems with EVERYONE else. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't, sometimes the LLDP discussion turns on the port on the switch but the output voltage doesn't. This particular ROCK is solid. This has worked on *every* switch I've tried it on (HP, Ubuquiti Edge, Mikrotik, Dell, and Netgear Prosafe have tried so far). I highly recommend this adapter.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Frequency
