The monitor is fine, but there are problems with the display. First, there is a distinct glow coming from all sides of the monitor. It's not particularly noticeable with normal computer use, but is quite distracting when watching or playing something dark (common in games and listed as a gaming monitor). Additionally, it was extremely difficult to make black colors appear black instead of black with a glow behind them while maintaining the appropriate color for everything else. None of the presets seem to be able to handle this and I've given up trying to fix it for now. I didn't have an option to use Freesync because I didn't realize another cable would be needed, but I do have a compatible GPU. Until I took a closer look, I didn't even notice that the second "hdmi" port was actually a wired display port. So this isn't accounted for in the test, just a warning to others as this monitor doesn't come with a Displayport cable like my GPU does. I guess I'll give up and still use this monitor for gaming. because of the higher refresh rate, loose sync and higher resolution than my old monitor but I feel my 9 year old Dell E228WFP which is still running and used to display dual monitors along with this one does a better job with gives a general picture.
