Nourishing for the kidneys

All of these tea reviews are jumbled up so you all know - I'm on the valerian side but I bought burdock root tea. Burdock doesn't have a particularly pleasant smell or taste, but it's definitely good for you. Being a root, it is particularly good as a brew when cooked on the stove. Burdock also detoxifies and cleanses and nourishes your kidneys. It is packed with nutrients and can be helpful when used in herbal tonics. As always, I'm disappointed in Frontier's cheap leaky Mylar bags. However, the quality of the herbs is there. I had to buy a whole set of sealed kraft bags so I could pack their herbs in something more secure. That's why I often choose Starwest Botanicals when I'm not sure which to choose. I used this burdock root in my specialty tea, vitamin C tea. It contains many nutritious dried herbs and fruits that make it a great substitute for sugary juices and sodas. It turned out great, I made a lot of tea bags. The tea instantly cures a cold or flu, and burdock is an important part of the recipe.
