This is a review of the Novastella 1300 Lumens Smart Light Bulb 3-Pack. These lamps are fully consistent with the advertising. I bought these to replace 1600 lumen smart bulbs from another manufacturer that were not working properly. These bulbs don't maintain their white temperature settings and can't keep up with the schedule I set for them. Luckily these bulbs will maintain their white temperature setting and turn on/off when I'm about to make them and not when they happen to decide to turn on in the middle of the day when not needed. I would like real 100 watts. equals 1600 lumens, but 1300 lumens is still pretty damn bright. The color options (red, green, blue, etc.) are also very vibrant. Installation couldn't be easier. It took me less than 5 minutes to set up the two lamps I'm currently using. The directions were clear and very detailed. Yes, the font was a bit small, but once you started the process, the app told you what to do next, so I didn't have to mess with the small font. After literally hours of tweaking and resetting and wrestling with my previous lightbulbs, this was very refreshing. The Smart Life app does what it does flawlessly. However, there is room for this app to get much better. Setting up the schedule wasn't as intuitive as the "other" light bulb or smart plug apps I've been able to buy since last Revain Prime Day. Instead of switching on and off from a screen, add a schedule to turn on a lightbulb and then add a schedule to turn it off. Once you understand that you need to treat them as two separate events, things move quickly. Another note: the planning section uses military time. I didn't notice, so I turned on the light at 5:00 am, which was actually 5:00 am. When I couldn't find where to set am/pm I realized I had to set the time to 1700 hours. I'm not sure why they did it that way as most people don't know or know anything about wartime. I want the light to come on at sunset. Since it's connected over the internet, it would be easy to determine when the sunset is without the need to add an ambient light sensor. Maybe this will be added in future updates. It would be nice to schedule it to turn on at sunset and turn off 4 hours later or at a specific time, but I want to do that. After all, there's no reason why I should keep changing my schedule as the daylight hours lengthen or shorten. This is part of what "smart" means when it comes to smart bulbs. The app should do that for me. Do I recommend buying these lamps, 100% yes. Do I want them to release a 1600 lumen version, yes I would. Do I want them to improve the app in terms of features, yes. Whether I like the fact that they are bright, easy to set up and work with, yes I do. I can say out loud that these are great bulbs and after reading all the possible options and reading all the reviews without knowing exactly what product they are actually talking about, I can wholeheartedly recommend these Novastella 1300 lumen smart bulbs. .
