Why do people reject SLR cameras? Because the pictures say nothing. Lenses with very few elements (glass) result in the most realistic "3D EFFECT" with good quality. Vibrant images full of rich colors. The main subject really stands out, the image comes to life. For example, compare a traditional zoom lens (with glass/hybrid elements) to the Zeiss Planar 85. It's a whole different world. For "less distortion," modern lenses sacrifice realism, resulting in flat, uninteresting, boring images that people just scroll through. But this lens is a marvel of engineering.1. Very good realistic depth reproduction (3D effect, due to a small number of high-quality elements, only 6!).2. The auto focus gives it an advantage over Zeiss (Zeiss has a slightly better 3D effect, almost invisible).3. The bokeh is very good and PLEASANT (not over the top, I would call it "conservative Zeiss/Voigtlรคnder").4. The build quality alone makes it a collector's item. This is a dependable PRO portrait lens that's great for both street portraits (AF) and general subject isolation. This is "almost Zeiss" but with AF. It always stays in my pocket. Four stars because it should be โฌ200 cheaper. If you're rich and you shoot a lot in that range (80-135mm), buy two of these, I'm not kidding.
