The best lens I have for camera lenses

I use this lens on a D7000 which gives a 35mm equivalent focal length of around 150mm. This makes it ideal for head-to-head portraits. I also use it in the studio for product photography. The lens is razor sharp and delivers excellent colors and contrasts. People say that this lens has to be learned. I do not see it. Its use is not particularly difficult. The defocus control can be ignored if you wish and you have the best 105mm lens in Nikon's range. If you decide to use it, just set it to any

A real classic lens

I've been looking for this lens for a long time This lens is an old design and its use is a reminder of why Nikon has many fans. F3 and F4 as compatible cameras, the digital world was far, far away Force - lens sharpness. I paired it with the D800 and the lens can resolve to the smallest detail. The lens balance on large DSLRs like 300/700/800 etc. is almost perfect. not too big and the weight just right. Deselective control is very simple, just choose the aperture, set the control ring to the…

Amazing Lens: Camera Lenses

I was looking for a portrait and general purpose telephoto lens to complement my system. I have compared 105/f2 dc to others including 85/1.4, 135/f2 dc, 105/2.8 micro, 70-200/2.8, 80-200/2.8 and 70-300 VR. I chose this lens for my F100. Experiences from the first roll of film have already confirmed what many have commented: - Smooth color and transition, ideal for skin tones. - Excellent bokeh (nice color combination). A DC regulator comes in handy when needed. - Sharp fixed focal length lens.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Depth of rendering (3D effect), color saturation, processing.

Why do people reject SLR cameras? Because the pictures say nothing. Lenses with very few elements (glass) result in the most realistic "3D EFFECT" with good quality. Vibrant images full of rich colors. The main subject really stands out, the image comes to life. For example, compare a traditional zoom lens (with glass/hybrid elements) to the Zeiss Planar 85. It's a whole different world. For "less distortion," modern lenses sacrifice realism, resulting in flat, uninteresting, boring images that

Lens built for art

Everything other people have said about this lens is absolutely true - very sharp, amazing bokeh and well worth the investment. A few things I learned while doing the research that might help: This lens will work with a DX format camera, but if autofocus is important to you, check your camera body to make sure it has a focus motor, like this the lens did not work. I don't have a built in. I use it on a d90 and the autofocus works great but it won't autofocus on a d40 or d60. Since your depth of

Almost perfect lens

If you are a pro or use a Nikon FX format camera and know the difference between D and F, this review is not for you. This is a comment for the average neighbor, like me, probably a D-format Nikon user who loves cameras and wonders if this lens is worth the hefty $1,000 it costs. Answer: Absolutely worth it! I have used this lens in various versions since 1976 on the then Nikon FE and F3. I fell in love with them and rarely used other lenses. I took care of children, children in the garden…
