I bought this tripod as a travel tripod for mounting a full size DSLR with lens. Easily holds my heaviest telephoto zoom lens and camera. In contrast to my 3-series Induro ball head, the Benro ball head does not come out of the horizontal position when the ball head is clamped. The Benro ball head is much smaller than the 3 Series Induro ball head and offers much better performance. And the triple action clamp base is a brilliant feature. How many times have you accidentally turned the base plate knob when you were about to turn the tripod knob on your telephoto lens? If you like me all the time The triple-action grip prevents the camera/lens from accidentally falling off the tripod. The folding arms on the legs are convenient to use compared to the swivel type, but I doubt the ease of cleaning of this Benro tripod. The swing-out arms make it difficult to disassemble the legs for cleaning compared to the swivel type. And unlike the pivoting type, a 7mm socket is required to remove the swingarms (another tool to lose when traveling). Since my travels include beaches and sand, this setup will not make a very good travel tripod. The Induro with twistlocks and Benro B3 ball head is now a travel kit. I love that Benro gives you leg tube diameters in the spec. What other tripod manufacturers don't do. However, when comparing this Benro tripod to my 3 series Induro tripod, what struck me is that they appear to be made in the same factory. Legs, hooks and center column are interchangeable. The leg tube diameters were the same, but the only difference was the carbon fiber weave. Benro has a nicer weave compared to Induro.
