Review on Monoprice 121972 DisplayPort 1.2 MST Hub, 2-Port DP Multi-Stream Transport, DP to DP, Black, 7.6 x 5.8 x 1.3 by Danny Trapanese

I like the metal case of this hub. The rigidity added by the case makes it very durable. The primary cable is thick and well made. I have had no problems with this device when connected directly between my computer and my monitors. I had a problem installing with KVM. The setting was Computers > KVM > Hub > Monitors. When used internally with KVM, the monitors simply did not work. When I use KVM alone the monitor works fine, but when I use the hub myself everything is fine. When I use the devices together, there is no signal. Knowing that KVM runs with Displayport 1.2, the only thing that makes sense to me is that there are too many connections in my setup and there is too much loss as a result. I ordered an active MST hub, maybe a boost will solve the problem. Aside from this compatibility issue, this device seems to be working fine.
