During the big Texas snow storm of 2021, this got me back to normal. After finding a broken section of copper pipe, I ordered it after watching a few YouTube videos and decided that in my experience this was the best solution for a successful application. The product is forgiving and my hand cutting with a mini hacksaw from a dollar store pulled out the tear section. You really want these cuts to be as straight as possible and I may have varied 2-3 degrees but I spent a long time deburring with wet sand to remove any burrs that pinch the internal o-ring products along the way, tear or could break installation. The breakage of these rings during installation is what causes them to fail. There is an internal "stop" that favors an accurate cross section. In the micro specification, misaligned tube cuts combined with an internal stop will result in micro turbulence that predicts the 'next' failure to occur in a SIGNIFICANT time. Eventually I'll put the new copper section back in, but that gave me soooo much time to think about it.
