was disappointed that they do not filter very well. I put it in and the water just flows through it like there is no filter. I used to buy a generic filter elsewhere that filtered exactly like the brand name. So I would recommend buying elsewhere if you want a generic one. If I can't find it in the store anymore, I just buy the brand.
