We've had this for a while, and while our company enjoys using it, it has a few key drawbacks. The largest of them is the route on which it runs. It's long, takes a while to straighten up, and generally a pain in the ass... I also had three broken latches. I've had it for 21 months now so I think some is due to normal wear and tear but the first time it happened was the very first time we used it. Needless to say the shoot was an interesting use of staff and tape to keep the camera on the dolly as shifting was not an option. However, I love being able to do zig zag patterns, which I've done in a lot of films. . I wish you could use longer tracks because a zig zag pattern uses up a track very quickly even if you use two tracks to double the length. I haven't found a way to get more length. It works though and as long as the latch doesn't break you should be able to get a very good carriage shot with it. I also had a few shots to attach an arrow and this cart handled the extra weight like a champ. I actually think the extra weight helped to be honest as it tended to run smoother. I also like the bag that the cart itself comes in. It looks neat and packs easily, which is nice when the customer looks at you. I don't want to mess around with my own gear although I think that's what the track is for ;) I'm considering upgrading soon but this has served me very well over the last 21 months and I would recommend it. everyone who wants to expand their choice of devices.
