I trust FelPro with almost every seal they use and this was no exception. This gasket was made for the thermostat housing of a 1965 Studebaker Commander Small Block V8, 283 engine. The gasket is very well made and looks like it will last almost forever. Note to Installers: Be sure to use the recommended torque settings for the thermostat housing (15-20 ft/lbs). Due to the thickness of the seal, using the traditional "inner seal” method will cause leakage as the seal will be deformed. I learned it right. We're used to using paper thin cheap pads and avoiding the wrong methods of installing them, but this isn't one of them. If you install it properly, it will last and work for you for a very long time.
