This is a very well designed product, WITH ONE EXCEPTION, and it may be a bug in my production but needs to be fixed. The stamped metal edges on mine weren't finished properly. They were sharp. I took a piece of very fine sandpaper and rubbed the edges of the lid and parts of the coffee container and they are fine now. Pros: Makes great coffee. I bought it because I was looking for stainless steel (my original was aluminum and I don't feel comfortable ingesting even small amounts of aluminum because when you drink acidic coffee you put yourself at risk every morning). a constant source of aluminum that causes Alzheimer's.) This pan has had good reviews from longtime users and now that I've solved the sharp edge issue I'm very happy with it.
