Wiring Guide

How to wire this if you want the switch to turn off (and on) all elements on the board. Negative incoming from the fuse box (or battery) to the brass terminal on the switch, then to the negative terminals of each appliance. This is a blade to blade cascade. For the switch, the brass is negative and the other two are positive. The terminals of the device are marked with "+" and "-". Connect the center terminal of the switch to the positive terminals of the devices. The plus line from the fuse box (or battery, if the fuse is installed) goes to the remaining switch terminal (outside, silver). This cascading effect requires a double wire connection with push in connectors - SEE PHOTOS. After a long time of tinkering, I decided to use a number larger connectors (yellow). This allowed me to put two wires into one connector and get a good crimp connection, otherwise the connector dangled a bit when I placed it on the blade (of devices and switches). I crimped the connector with pliers to give it closer contact and that solved the problem. I looked for connectors that would perfectly match these blades while still allowing multiple wires, and couldn't find them anywhere - at Home Depot, hardware stores, and car dealerships. Of course, for the blades that only had one wire, I could use the correct connectors (blue). About fuses. You must use them or risk a fire. I'm using a 10 amp fuse for this application and so far it's working fine. However, since I'm using two dual USB charging ports with a maximum current of 2.1 amps per port (2.1 x 4 = 8.4 amps), plus a bit more for the voltmeter and LED lighting, the fuse may be at burn through with a little push . . If that happens I'll go for the 15 amp fuse. See I don't know much about electricity other than basic car/ship DC wiring and I don't know much about that. IF MY THOUGHTS WRONG SOMEONE LET ME KNOW. Thanks.
