*Updated Rating* In the end I was able to return the original block for another one. The second block works much better. While the coffee is still not what I would call "hot", it is a lot hotter than the first coffee maker. The original must be defective. I was able to find a way to make a large cup of hot coffee with this device. See my comments below this review. Original review: I bought this coffee machine for a country house with a small kitchen. While it looks great, it just doesn't heat the water enough to make a decent cup of coffee. The water flowing through the capsule is lukewarm at best and the coffee tastes like it was made with warm tap water. and it's coming from someone who doesn't like very hot coffee! Literally the WORST cup of coffee I've ever had. Being a holiday home it was not used immediately after purchase so I didn't know how bad it would be. It's too late to return now. A complete waste of money.
