Let the water through! in Coffee, Tea & Espresso

I have had this coffee maker in my home for 2 years now and I love its size and the quality of the coffee it brews. I bought one for my summer cabin and found that the new unit was leaking water from the bottom of the water tank, which was a slow leak leaving a puddle of water on the countertop. I asked Revain for a refund and a replacement which I just received and found the replacement had the same fault! The problem seems to be with the "0" ring in the hole that the water tank fits in as the

Coffee maker failure

About 4 years ago I bought a Quisinart SS-5 Single Serve Brewer. It worked so well that in October 2019 I decided to buy the same model for our country house. The new one began forcefully ejecting water through the K cup towards the end of the brew cycle. You could hear it from the next room. My husband, who can fix almost anything, was cleaning the K cup holder for whatever reason that may have caused this. The coffee maker kept blowing coffee grounds through the K cup leaving me with a…

If I could give zero stars I would

What a POS! I bought this Cuisinart K-Cup coffee maker because my last Keurig lasted less than six months. From the very first cup, Cuisinart poured about 1/4 cup of water from the water tank. Didn't notice right away because I had it on my tray to protect my unfinished, stained cutting board counter. After about 3 cups of coffee, almost a cup of water remained in the drip tray under the brewer. However, he made a very tasty cup of coffee but so disappointed! Don't waste money. I threw this…

*Updated Rating* In the end I was able to return the original block for another one. The second block works much better. While the coffee is still not what I would call "hot", it is a lot hotter than the first coffee maker. The original must be defective. I was able to find a way to make a large cup of hot coffee with this device. See my comments below this review. Original review: I bought this coffee machine for a country house with a small kitchen. While it looks great, it just doesn't heat…

Leaked after 250 cups and customer service was extremely poor

Leaked after 8 months of short term use (average 1 cup a day). Manufacturer support is terrible! I liked the machine at first. Did what I wanted, although it sounds a bit like ship fog. After eight months of short use, the water tank is defective. There is a plastic or rubber seal attached to the spring where it enters the machine and this part has ruptured, causing the reservoir to leak heavily. Called Cuisinart 4 weeks ago about 3 year warranty. They said they would send a new tank for free…

PLEASANT LOOK / SAVE DESK SPACE / HOT COFFEE

I bought this instead of the similar Keurig because it is a machine that takes up less counter space. Unlike my old Brewville, there are no real bells and whistles here, just power and one of three cup sizes. I'm crazy and the coffee is good and hot. It's fast and very quiet. I like the rear mounted reservoir which helps keep the width about 2-3 inches narrower than the equivalent Keurig. Like ALL machines with hot water on demand (no waiting to brew), they turn off when empty. Running the…

Super fast Modern design

My Keurig finally broke so I went looking for a new one. This time I wanted a smaller car. Also, I was looking for a stainless steel "look" that was more modern than the typical black car. Found it while in the process of buying a Keurig Mini that was on sale. However, when I looked at the Keurig mini in the store, it seemed cheaply made. Then I saw this manufacturer. I really liked the look and it seemed well made. I usually look at reviews before I buy, but I've already been to the store and…
