I expected this adapter to be of high quality considering it is made by Monster, the company that makes Beats by dre. Obviously I was wrong. Severe distortion is almost inevitable, static is ubiquitous, and problems with breakage, overheating, pinched cables, and mismatches abound. I have tried this adapter in the following vehicles with the same or similar results: Ford Explorer, Mercedes E320, Volkswagen Passat, Nissan Sentra, Ford F-150, Buick Regal, Dodge Magnum and Honda Civic, all 2000's or older. The cable feels cheap and flimsy, and the chassis flexes more than it should. Bad quality control. I think you get
