Pretty roomy. It fits my standard 18 lb dachshund very well. Plastic parts slip out of the joints. I went ahead and glued the joints together and added extra cardboard to the front pocket for more stability. I didn't actually need the carrier, but I already installed it. Also, the bottom floor is not waterproof. They give you a small mat as waterproof flooring. nope Too small and slippery. I ended up laying some tape-wrapped cardboard on the floor to give that pathetic little rug something to hold on to. Also, my item arrived used, so part of the seat belt buckle was already torn off. I suspect he's not holding up well. Aside from what has been mentioned, the pet seat carrier is durable. My dog can put his paws to the side and won't fall. I wish the carrier had straps for the carry handle in and out of the car.
