Edit: Two stars instead of one since I contacted Hamilton. They will not issue a refund if the item has not been purchased through them (ie not through Revain) within the last 60 days. They said they would send me a new one for $11.49 (to cover shipping). So I give them a second star for offering to send a new one. However, since it couldn't cut through potatoes initially, I'll spend more money on something stronger. I've had it for 5 months and have used it maybe 6 times. It's not strong enough to handle potatoes - I tried it when I first got it and the blade got stuck halfway. I naturally thought that I would only use it for light stuff. But now the top of the motor shaft has chipped off while processing the pie crust - it's just flour and butter, nothing solid - and now there's plastic in my pie crust. Note that there isn't just one large piece of plastic in the crust, but a million tiny plastic shavings that make it completely unrecoverable (I've circled some of the larger ones in pink in the photo). I have sent a message to customer service and will update it. Disappointing because I read hundreds of reviews on different food processors before buying.
