I've ALWAYS needed a colander for rinsing fruit and veg and for displaying fruit on the table and countertop. Everyone I liked had too many negative reviews about one or the other. Very frustrating. It's the perfect size for rinsing and presenting. Without measuring the handle, it is just over 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 1/4 inches high. It easily fits a bunch of grapes, berries, 6 clementine oranges, cherry tomatoes, baby carrots etc. The color is sooo cheerful and it takes up very little space in the drawer where I keep my strainers. I'm glad I drove myself crazy and kept looking until I found the perfect one.
