Unfortunately this was one of the cheap products that accepted an HDMI signal and output audio on RCA for analog output. While the device is doing this, the transmitted video signal is very unstable. After using the product for a little over a month, I am stuck with a defective unit that cannot be returned. I work with a range of HDMI solutions, from well-known brands (Atlona, Geffin, Extron, Crestron, etc.) to cheap ones (Monoprice), depending on the budget. I've had a lot of success with budget brands like Monoprice, but they don't do HDMI to RCA conversion with HDMI signal pass-through. I would not recommend using this product.
