I was replacing no pass hot water systems and during the process I asked the plumber to install an Aqua Pure filtration system connector just before the hot water system. I change the filter every six months as recommended. I have well water and very hard water with a lot of iron. I use the RainSoft water treatment system but it still seems like some chemicals are leaching through and I still get limescale build up. I have found that Aqua-Pure's scale inhibition really makes a difference by significantly reducing the amount of chemicals passed through the RainSoft system. I can see the difference between my two showers connected to a hot water system and one shower connected to a traditional water heater. In that respect I am very satisfied with the performance. I would give it five stars except that changing filters is frustrating. I bought a special in-line fitting for this filter and yet every time I change the filter I struggle to get the filter in place so I can screw it in properly. My plumber installed a swivel system so I can rotate the pipe for easier installation. However, I always have to take a knife and shave the top of the filter thread (plastic) to properly insert and screw the filter in. Once I do that it screws in easily and I've never had a leak.
