Decided to buy mainly because it was only $8. I have a Kinivo BTD-400 adapter on another computer and almost bought another one for my second computer. However, since this SoundBot adapter was $6 cheaper and had many reviews, I was willing to lose $8 if it didn't work. The advice to try Toshiba drivers was one of my other deciding factors. Unfortunately, after purchasing this adapter, I noticed in the comments that Toshiba drivers have a 30-day trial period. Having already bought the adapter, I started reading other reviews to see if anyone had other suggestions for improving the sound quality. And so someone mentioned downloading the latest drivers from SoundBot. SoundBot's latest drivers work great in my opinion! No worse than Kinivo. (which I also struggled to get good audio quality from, in this case Kinivo customer support helped me solve the problem) I'm glad this $8 adapter does its job perfectly! It was also very easy to pair with my MEElectronics Air Fi Runaway Bluetooth headset. With the Kinivo adapter, I usually have to adjust the settings to tell it that the headset is for audio playback. SoundBot detected this as soon as I plugged it into the headset.
