Review on πŸ”Œ Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector: AC-Plug-In with Battery Backup, CO Alarm & Replacement Alert by Drew Panah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Highly Recommended: Safety and Security

, Replaced three expired carbon monoxide alarms in my home with these. They are LOUD, which is good for many reasons. They are also unobtrusive, very easy to install and have a 10-year lifespan, as well as battery backup in the event of a power failure. I chose Kiddes over the equivalent First Alert because Kiddes has a 10 year lifespan while First Alert has a 7 year lifespan. These devices are basic and no frills, which is what I wanted/needed. In my case, I saw no need to buy fancy devices with screens that show how many parts per million of CO is in the ambient air - if there is enough CO in the house to set off an alarm, I leave the house. house and call the fire department instead of staying indoors to check the readings. I highly recommend them. At the very least, this is cheap insurance that can potentially save the lives of you and your loved ones.
