The lithium battery overheated on initial charge and leaked chemicals that ruined the table. This happened after 18 hours of charging. In the morning the charger was still glowing orange instead of a fully charged green light. Obviously I shouldn't be sending a "fully charged?" message. A lithium battery was damaged in the mail so I need to figure out how to return it. We're lucky the house didn't burn down. It's especially scary when we have two small children. Injury! The flashlight itself looks good so I might try to send a spare battery. I will charge the battery in a fusible container floating in a large pool of water where there are no other combustible substances and there is a smoke detector nearby. Not sure if it's all worth it, maybe you just want to spend more for a light that comes with a reliable, high-quality lithium battery.
