Review on 🔩 250 Stainless Steel Pocket Screws for SML C250S5 Projects by Gary Stringfield

These were good screws for the ACQ connection (requires stainless steel fasteners) 2" x 4" with pocket holes. None of the bolts were sheared off, but they were rounded off a bit with a #2 square drive. This happens more often than other steel screws I've used. They screwed themselves into the tree without much effort. The only thing I really complain about is the adjustments that Craig points out to adjust the pocket hole gauge. With ACQ Softwood, these screws come out on the other side of the joint. You will either need to use shorter bolts or move the clamp hole back an additional 3/8 inch. I've seen it in hardwoods, but it's a problem in ACQ woods. Overall they made a strong pocket connection with ACQ wood.
