I have the Sony DVD carousel in my system connected to the DAC in my Sprout 100 via Toslink. Sony has gotten very insecure with discs, so it's time to replace them. Knowing I was going to feed the DAC and read the reviews, the Audiolab 6000CDT stood out. I put a 6000 CDT in the system and was surprised that with the same Toslink to the same DAC/amp which sounded much cleaner and had much more bass I had to cut out the subwoofer (I only run it to enhance the sound add to). . bottom ends of the speakers to keep the cabinet from rattling). Now I have better sound and I'm not afraid of my CD being eaten. Remember this is a VEHICLE, not a CD player, so it needs to be fed into a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC).
