Review on PietyPet Aquarium Plants: Lifelike Artificial Aquatic Decor for Household and Office Fish Tanks by Jane Taylor

There is definitely metal, magnets stick there!

I don't know why I haven't seen anyone mention metal in it. At medium size, the metal was exposed in many places (see photo). Magnets literally stick to the "stems". So I'm also not sure why the product description says "All these aquarium plants are made of plastic without any metal elements" which was completely wrong at least for the plants I received. I didn't want to use it that way, I wanted to use plastic plant parts on a different basis, but I quickly realized that that wasn't possible. Each part is glued to the connecting part. I noticed glue on the base but didn't initially think the parts not attached to the base would get glued so I pulled them apart like I do my other fish and noticed the part that was on top stood out . to connect it to the next one broke off because it is glued there. That ruined the whole facility for me. The medium sized plants, the ones with the metal in them, arrived as a hot glue gun mess, but they still had the metal stems falling out of the base. Lots of exposed metal. The magnets really stick to them. It was immediately clear to me that I would not put them in my aquariums. Another disappointment. Grass-like plants were a hot glue gun mess too. Pink not red but I expected that based on the photos they showed for the product. However, I am disappointed. I'm very confused as to how these plants got such good reviews. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch, but I don't even know how that could have happened. I'm confused and disappointed again.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance
