Review on 🔧 OTC 4514 Mini Snap-Ring Pliers Set - 4 Piece, Assorted Colors by Andre Pendergrass

I had a Kitchenaid "Professional" mixer that needed gear repair (not starting). Some of the gears are held in place by snap rings that were quite difficult to remove. I bought a pair of snap ring pliers from the big blue box and another pair from the big orange box. Both had replaceable tips, and both were of such poor quality that they could not be used. I sent both back and tried them out. === Good stuff ===* Despite everything, I was able to remove the rings and replace them when needed. From that perspective, the tools were a success.* I prefer four separate tools rather than interchangeable designs. At least the job isn't complicated by the tool falling apart when trying to use it. ring apart. === Not good stuff ===* These tools are small and the 1 inch rings I was working on were a bit tricky. It was difficult to exert enough force on the small instrument. to open the rings without the pins popping out of the holes. I noticed that the tips were slightly bent. === Summary === I removed and reinstalled the correct rings for the tool to book successfully. Small tool and I'm not sure they will survive repeated use. Nevertheless, I did my job.
