Review on πŸ‘‘ THORINSTRUMENTS Men's Silver Norman Warrior Helmet - One Size Fits Most with Device by Brian Stepp

Revainrating 2 out of 5

More decorative than functional - medium to poor workmanship

Looks good on the shelf, not so good on the head. The balaclava strap is thin, faux leather, poorly attached (glued) and comes loose the first time you put it on. hot glue back. The rivets are not fully processed and may rub against the head and cause minor scratches/pain. The steel components that make up the crown and band are not actually separate pieces but are butt welded to the band and then ground to hide the weld. The steel is hand bent and will hold its shape, but the nock will deform slightly when worn over the hair. All in all, it's probably cosplay or shelf-ready, certainly not an easy HEMA or SCA exercise for the active youth, which is why I picked it up. It could have been made more convenient by drilling and sewing a liner onto the steel, riveting and some rework, but for the job it's probably better to buy a better helmet.
