This product has the look and feel of soft craft felt. It has fluffy fibers that get stuck in even the smallest defects of hands, nails, etc. I thought it was a bamboo fiber product; doesn't look like any natural fiber I've ever seen. (I know nothing about bamboo, so take that last comment with a grain of salt.) This product doesn't wash well - washing seems to have loosened the fibers further at the edges. You can't put them in the dryer, which is also a downside. I've run good quality paper towels through the washing machine (and even tumble dried them) with better results than this product. Save your money: Invest in good quality cotton or linen washcloths and use them instead.
