The fact that the range is small, I umed. Nothing much can be expected from a small built-in antenna. Where a phone / tablet / laptop finds 10-15 extraneous networks, this bull is only 1-2. But for my task - 5 meters through two plaster walls, the range is quite enough. The connection is stable, for several days of use I did not notice any breaks. Copy speed to/from home NAS up to 10MB and not sure if it is limited by this adapter and not by the NAS itself. I did not install firewood from the disk, I installed the utility from the manufacturer's website. Everything worked immediately and without problems.
