Used a 2 3/8" hole saw. Socket fitted perfectly. In fact it could have been slightly smaller for a tighter fit. tends to reduce the Pulling sleeves out with what I've found to be typical of a sleeve with a mouse hole though, the actual knot is stiff enough to hold the ends of the cord so they don't fall through the hole, which is exactly what I wanted, more annoying than that trying to hold on to something with one hand as the cable winds its way back into the decrepit subfloor of your desk.
