Used a 2 3/8" hole saw. Socket fitted perfectly. In fact it could have been slightly smaller for a tighter fit. tends to reduce the Pulling sleeves out with what I've found to be typical of a sleeve with a mouse hole though, the actual knot is stiff enough to hold the ends of the cord so they don't fall through the hole, which is exactly what I wanted, more annoying than that trying to hold on to something with one hand as the cable winds its way back into the decrepit subfloor of your desk.

I'm working on a control board project and need 2 inch grommets so I wanted to try them. I've used other brands with my 2" hole saw and they've always been a bit loose so I've had to wrap the bit with black tape or resort to superglue to keep them from falling out. I haven't had any problems with them. I used the same 2" hole saw and they came out very tight, almost too tight as I had to give them a good push to fully seat them. I'd rather they be too tight than fall out. The price was good…

I have an aquarium and a water source that contains chlorine. You can usually just leave the buckets open for a day and they'll evaporate, but I wanted to put a lid on them to prevent animals and people from chattering and spitting out of them, but don't leave the lid airtight to defeat that whole purpose. So I used a 2" hole saw (I think?) to cut a perfect sized hole in the bucket's lid, inserted the grommet and secured it with some aquarium silicone just because I know it's for the Fish safe…
