The cable itself is well made and there are no problems connecting it to the laptop. The fun comes with Techstream software. You MUST disable your antivirus software as instructed. I closed Bitdefender and Malwarebytes, but when extracting the RAR file, Google Chrome wouldn't let me load the cable driver. Arrrgg! I had to extract the file using Microsoft Edge to download the required driver. It's not the software, but my Chrome browser was trying to protect my system. I bought it for a Tundra 07, 5.7 double cab truck to basically reset my wireless key fob. The software allowed me to delete 4 registered remotes and re-register the 3 remotes I had. I played around with erasing and re-registering the key immobilizer chip and the operation was successful. It will save me hundreds of dollars the next time I need a new key. Overall this is a good purchase, you just need to be patient when downloading and using the Techstream version 16 software that comes with this purchase. Youtube is your friend if you are new to programming and using TIS Techstream diagnostics.
